Dioxins are some of the most toxic chemicals known to
man. In fact, the EPA has determined
there is no “safe” level of exposure.
Dioxins are the byproduct of many industrial processes, yet humans are
exposed mainly through their diet of meat and dairy. The EPA designed the chart below to show how
the North American diet is contaminated by dioxins, as presented in the EPA Dioxin Reassessment Summary
4/94 - Vol. 1, p. 37.
Dioxin
exposure has been linked to cancer, birth defects, miscarriage, infertility,
endometriosis, diabetes, learning disabilities, immune system suppression, lung
problems, skin disorders, lowered testosterone levels and much more.
